I read lots of documentation text, but cannot find the way to set things to allow my use-case.
The use-case is this:
- I want new users to be able to subscribe during a year period (from January till December) they will be paying a start-subscription amount that changes during the year: I solve this by creating several trial-subscriptions with several amounts
- at the end of the year I want the subscription to be automatically renewed at the first of January. When members want to end their subscription they have to send an e-mail or fill in a form in which they end their membership, starting te next year.
- members that do not end their membership get an invoice with the amount payable for the next year of their membership;
- they pay by bank-transfer, check, or cash, and their membership period rolls on;
- those that do not pay manually receive several reminders; after they do no respond to these remainders their subscription is manually de-activated.
I do not want a situation where members have to do something: log-in and click a renewal button other than pay the upcoming subscription amount after receiving an invoice, or ending their membership.
I do not want recurring payments: it is imposing on the members, also I understand that it only works with a paypal processor that 'nobody' uses in my country.
Members are member of a non-profit organisation, and stay member usually for a period of several years. They do not want the hassle of monthly payments, automatic withdrawals etc. They pay once a year, and that is it.
Starting form this logic I looked how to implement this in the component, and am somewhat lost in creating it.
Is this possible, and if so can you direct me to documentation, forum messages that help me on my way.
