Member upgrade plan problem was created by MMMedia
I have set up Membership Pro version 2.0.4 to have a daily subscription, monthly subscription and a yearly subscription. I set the daily plan to have an upgrade to the monthly and the yearly. I set the monthly plan to have an upgrade available for the yearly plan. Members can upgrade properly. There is an issue that the daily plan is not expired and is charged again after the upgrade to monthly. Is there a setting that needs to be set to fix this, does the Administrator of the site have to cancel the daily subscription when they get notice of the upgrade, or should the component be doing this seamlessly for you?
Also renewal notifications to the Administrator on recurring payments is sending the user's password. It is not sending it in the initial sign up for a subscription.

In reading the documentation it may be that recurring subscriptions are not upgrade eligible because of the recurring payment set up in Paypal is set for so many intervals in advance. Can you confirm this? The user would have to cancel the first recurring payment and leave the second recurring payment?

Hi
Yes, unfortunately, users will have to cancel his first subscription and then sign up for the second subscription. Unfortunately, most of the payment gateways (include Paypal standard) don't have an API to allow us to call to cancel the subscription automatically, so users will have to login to his Paypal account to cancel his subscription for the old plan
Then sign up again for the new plan. That's not friendly but we could not change it because the limitation of payment gateway API
