Mail Chimp plugin assign to Segments/Groups

Hello,

I was curious if there are any plans to create a better integration with Mail Chimp.

It would be very helpful if we could choose the segments or groups from a single list. Having one list in Mail Chimp with segments based on interests is a better way to manage list subscribers and avoid duplicate emails (that mail chimp will count against your subscriber list)

Not sure if this helps, but It looks like Mail Chimp has depreciated version 2.0 of the API, they are asking that everyone begin migrating to version3.0

I will try to improve the current behavior in the future. However, to be honest, not very near future because there are still other improvements I want to add to the extension first.

Thanks for the reply, I understand. I have a company that I hire for custom jobs like this, I've contacted them for a quote to modify the mailchimp plugin. I'd be more than happy to share the code with you when I get it

Is there any progress on this? Mailchimp now only allows one list on a free account so segmentation is really needed.

The easiest way would be to select from a tag dropdown as well as the list

Thats great. Is there any documentation on this? I'm only seeing the list name.
Edit.  Are you referring to groups in membership pro?  I know we can assign a unique list to each group but Mailchimp free account doesn't allow multiple lists.  Mailchimp wants to discourage multiple lists and for us to use a single segmented list.  The easiest way to segment a list is to create tags for each segment but we need the plugin to allow us to choose the relevant tags for a group.

I'm taking about groups in Mailchimp, not Membership Pro. Could you please submit a support ticket so that we can discuss more about it? I guess I will need you to send me screenshot showing me how you setup groups in Mailchimp to make sure we talk about same thing. I'm sure that we addressed this limitation long time ago
