SSL Certificate & PayPal Pro was created by Wesley Derbyshire
Hello Tuan,
We need to understand if we use PayPal Pro with Membership Pro and Events Pro wether or not we need a SSL certificate on client website. Having not used PayPal Pro, I don't know if information is collected on client website (like Authorize.net) or over at PayPal, and what happens when process complete and returns to client site for confirmation.
In other words, at what point is the SSL really needed, if at all when using theese two components with PayPal Pro.
I noticed in sandbox using PayPal that the return link pops up a notice that the data is sent over an insecure network. Obviously, that doesn't look good to a customer.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Wesley
If you use Paypal Pro, subscribers will enter credit card information directly on your site to process payment. They won't have to be redirected to Paypal, so you will need to have an SSL certificate installed on your site.
Once you have SSL certificate installed, just set "Activate HTTPS" config option in the two extensions to Yes and SSL / HTTPS will be used on payment form. That's the only place SSL/HTTPS needs to be activated and it is handled automatically by the system
