how to assign to the Subscription group was created by DSmellie
Dear Support
We are trying to assign the new subscribers to a Subscribers Group to restrict access to resources - however new subscribers are being set to the default joolma Registered group.
I have followed your instructions at
documentation.joomdonation.com/membershi...icted-resources.html
However I cannot see where in the subscription plan settings to assign to the Subscribers group:
"4. Edit subscription plan, setup it so that when users subscribe to this plan, they will be assigned to Subscribers group, when their subscription expired, they will be removed from Subscribers group"
Grateful for your guidance,

Hi
1. You will need to go to Extensions -> Plugins Manager, find and make sure you published the "OS Membership - Joomla Groups plugin" plugin
2. Now, edit the subscription plan, look at "Joomla Groups Settings" tab, select the groups you want to assign subscribers of that plan to in "Assign to Joomla Groups" settings.
3. Choose the same groups you select above in "Remove from Joomla Groups" settings
Now, when users sign up for your plan, they will be assigned to the selected groups (please note that he will only be assigned to the groups when his subscription status become active - he made payment for the subscription or admin approve the subscription)
Hope it is clear to you now
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan
Many thanks for the response ....
1. OS Membership - Group Membership Plugin - was/is published
2. & 3 In the "Joomla Groups Settings" tab there is no "Assign to Joomla Groups" or "Remove from Joomla Groups" setting options - there is only a single line item called "Max number of group members"
???
...we are running Joomla 2.5.6
Many thanks for the response ....

Thank you Tuan
It appears however that the Joomla Groups plugin has not been installed with the package, and therefore we cannot publish it. I have raised a support ticket with admin details.
Many thanks
