Cancelling recurring payments was created by Mark
Has Membership Pro been updated to include cancellation of recurring payments? I have read in the forum that the customer would have to cancel "through authorize.net". But they said that it may be added soon and the posts were all from 8 months or so ago. Has this function been added yet?
If not, how does one go about cancelling through authorize.net?

Hi Mark
Unfortunately, this feature is not implemented yet. I don't have an Authorize, net account, so to be honest, I don't know how to cancel it via Authorize.net. I believe when user logged in to his Authorize.net account, there should be an option for him to cancel recurring payment.
I will try to improve this function to the extension ASAP but I could not promise the exactly time for now

As I understand - it is impossible for user to cancel his authorize.net recurring payments and also stripe payments. This services have user credit card details to process payments - so, when user buys membership he doon't have accounts at authorize or stripe - he just put his credit card data to my site (in your extension). But how he can cancel recurring payments?
If user cannot cancel his subscription then your extensions is useless for recurring payments, because using this is completely no fair for user, I need to give user the possibility to cancel his subscription. Yes, I know that it is impossible for paypal, but it is definetely possible for authorize and probably for stripe too. I had been used RsMembership Pro before, and this extension has possibility for user to cancel his authorize subscription.
My client who I am developing site purchased Membership Pro and JoomDonation extensions, and also he bought 2 plugins for this extensions to process stripe payments - but as I see this extensions can't cancel subscriptions. And also I see that stripe plugin for Joom donation doesn't support recurring payments at all, but stripe plugin for Membership Pro supports recurring payments. I can't find any logics. My client need to give users possibility to stop recurring payments and he need possibility to set up Stripe recurring payments for donation and for subscription extensios. Shall I tell my client to take money back for all these extensions?

Hi Sergey
My plan is that I will add support to allow cancel recurring recurring payment in Membership Pro for Authorize.net, Stripe, and Paypal Pro
However, to be honest, I am afraid of it won't be very soon, maybe it will take one month for me to get it completed and supported.
So Yes, if you see that RS Membership has the feature and could not wait, maybe you can ask your customers to go with RS Membership. For Donation, if you find an extension which has support for recurring payment for Stripe, then you can use it as well.
I have no problem refunding the money of your customers purchase.

Will you add recurring payments for stripe for Membership Pro only, or for Donation extension too?

For Joom Donation, sometime in the future. For now, allow cancel recurring payment for Membership pro takes higher priority than adding support for recurring payment for Stripe for Joom Donation

Just want to have a quick update that I am having good progress on this development. I might have this feature ready within this week or middle of next week, so you won't have to wait for one month .
Will continue working on it now and update you when it is done !

That's great! I will suggest my client to wait for a week for this.
But the question with Joom Donations and stripe recurring payments still opened. You already have this feature in Membership Pro stripe plugin. I compared source code for stripe plugin for OSM and for stripe plugin for JD - they are the same except 1 file - os_stripe.php. This file for JD doesn't contain functions for recurring payments (os_stripe.php for OSM contains this). I don't think that it will take much time for you to implement recurring payments for JD, because you ave already implemented this feature for OSM. Even forms in this extensions are almost the same. Probably my client will be agreed to pay additional money for updated stripe plugin with recurring donations, buy can you please tell me the cost for this development and how much time do you need? You can answer here or email me at sergey.yuganov[a]gmail.com

Hi Tuan,
How exactly can an user stop the recurrent payments. Can you specify how to set this up and how a user can find this functionality?
tx. Best Arthur
