One time Initial Start Up Fee was created by Robert Good
I need to add an initial fee for a subscription.
I have a business directory that I need to charge a $50 "one time" setup fee for new subscribers.
How do I set that up? I'm guessing its with custom fields but cannot figure it out.

Hi Robert

Is your plan is one time subscription plan or recurring subscription plan?

Please let me know so that I can think about it and find a solution

The plan is re-ocurring, the initial fee is not.

Hi Robert

If the plan is recurring subscription plan, you can use Trial amount and Trial duration to control this. Lets say you you have monthly recurring subscription plan with price 100$ and setup fee 50$, you can setup it as below:

1. Set price to 100$

2. Set subscription length to 1 month

3. Set recurring subscription to Yes

4. Set trial amount to 150$ (100$ for monthly fee + 50$ setup fee)

5. Set trial duration to 1 month

After that, it should work as expected. By this setup, at the time he sign up, he will have to pay 150$. Then every next month, he has to pay 100$

Regards,

Tuan

That works.
On the sign up form can I change
"Trial Duration Price" $xx.00 "for 30 days"
to
"Setup Fee" $xx.00 (Business Photography / Copy Editing)

They are language items, so Yes, you can change it if you want. Go to Membership Pro -> Translation, you can see the text and change it to meet your need
