Membership Pro with Jomsocial Registration

Hi,

I am trying to use membership pro to take subscription payments for joining my jomsocial community (version 4.1).

So far I have installed Membership Pro 1.7, but cannot see the plugin for Jomsocial mentioned in the features list - plus the documentation link doesn't contain any details about how to set up - just a list of the plugins included.

I have gone through both Membership Pro and Jomsocial's configuration and cannot find anything to link them. I have tested registrering via my Jomsocial frontpage registration, but Membership pro doesn't kick in.

Can you tell me how this component is supposed to work with Jomsocial as unfortunately it isn't clear to me.

1=> Go to Extensions -> Plugins Manager, find and publish the plugin OS Membership - Joomsocial plugin

2=> Now, go to Membership Pro -> Custom Fields, edit the custom field and map them with the corresponding field in Membership pro (in Field Mapping attribute)

3=> Now, when users sign up for subscription plans in Membership Pro, Membership Pro will create a Jomsocial account for him

That's how the integration is supposed to work. Could you please try ?

Thats why I couldn't find the plugin -I did a search fpr jomsocial - not joomsocial - is that a misspelling on the plugin?

I have followed your instructions and mapped the fields. Now I am not sure where I set up the Memberships registration - does it use Jomsocial's registration or its own? I am happy not to be using Jomsocial's. I have gone through the menu itens and cannot find a registration menu link.

Can you tell me how to complete this last step?

That depends on how many subscription plans you are having on your system:

1. If you have different plans, you can create a menu item to link to "Plans List Default Layout" view of Membership Pro. Users can access to that menu item, see the plans and choose the plan they want to sign up

2. If you just have one plan, simply create a menu item to link to "Subscription Form" view of Membership Pro. Remember to choose the plan in the menu parameter. Users can access to that menu item, process the subscription without having to choose plan
