My joomla site has a minimum password length of 6 characters that includes upper / lower / numeric.
Once I have logged in and go to the manage my profile section of membership pro i am able to enter a 5 character password of just numbers that is accepted when the form is saved - if I now log out and back in the 5 character password is accepted as my Joomla account password. Is this a problem or is there a setting I haven't enabled correctly?
I have membership pro 1.6.9

My site is running Joomla 3.4 and I have just found that there is a bug that allows the standard reset password method to bypass the length and complexity requirements:

this will apparently be issued @ 3.4.1 - I have added the fix manually and this does correct the standard Joomla reset password. I am still able to change the password through the membership pro editor though to one that does not comply.
@Mike: That's a known issue for Membership Pro and we will solve it in the next release (1.7.1). Please give me about one more week to work on it and get it implemented into the extension

Do you have an update on this issue at all. My site is due to go live with membership pro in under a week and I'd prefer this functionality be in place at launch if possible.
Please get this file, unzip it, then upload the file to components/com_osmembeship/views/profile/tmpl folder of your site. After that, it will work as expected
