We are looking to encourage users to join our site and avail of a 30 day trial. However in order for them to complete our registration form using Membership Pro it seems that they must still provide payment information. We will just be using Stripe for all our payments, so they effectively must create accounts via Stripe even though we do not want their payment info to access the trial.
Our concern is that there will be a high drop off rate for people who are just looking at our service and they will be reluctant to provide payment information for a *free* subscription. I must admit I am reluctant to provide credit card info for something that is a free trial. It is also becoming mainstream on sites that a message will read something like "Free Trial - No Card Required!".
Once the trial period is complete we will be sending them the various links to become a paid subscriber and it is at that point they will be linked to a Membership Pro form where Stripe payment information is collected.
All in all, I need some plans to have payment info displayed and others to not display any payment fields.
So can this be done with Membership Pro?
