members blocked in Joomla Users after plan expiry

On one of my sites, all of the membership plans were set to expire 12/31/14. When members went to the site to renew 01/01/15, they were not allowed to log in and renew. I investigated and found that all members had been blocked in the Joomla User Manager. Under “Enabled” in User Manager:Users, all users had a red X. Given that the clients membership drive had been announced to start on 01/01/15, I had to manually unblock all of the users in User Manager:Users so that members could access the site and renew. Any thoughts on why site users were blocked rather than their plans only being expired in Membership Pro?

Hi

I think that causes by a settings you made. Go to Extensions -> Plugins Manager, find the plugin "OS Membership User", click on it to edit.

There is a param called "Block account when subscription expired". I think right now, you set it to Yes and it causes the issue

Please set that param to No and the issue won't happen again
