Mailchimp Implementation

I have created a Mailchimp account, enabled the Mailchimp plugin and entered the API key. Are there other steps to be completed? I created a test user to check out the process but did not see any record created in Mailchimp. For all of my existing Membership Pro users, I just did an export from Membership Pro and imported these users into Mailchimp

You need to do some extra steps :

1. Make sure you publish the mailchimp plugin.

2. Go to membership pro-> subscription plans, edit the plan. You will see a tab for Mailchimp settings. On that tab, make sure you choose correct mailchimp list for that plan

By doing that, when users sign up for the plan, they will be subscribed to mailchimp and to the lists which you selected for that plan

Where do i get the API key to enter at the mailchimp plugin?

I am having the same issue as this one from 3 years ago. My Mailchimp plugin is enabled but when i check on the membership pro, Mailchimp settings is empty.
