Subscription Plan was created by firenze
Hi Tuan,
Could you please advise.
I want to offer new subscribers a free month if they take out a 12 month subscription i.e. 13 months - but only for the first subscription.
When they come to renew, then that would only get 12 months.
Is that possible and if so, what is the best way to do this.
Regards
Graham

Hi Graham
Unfortunately, it is not possible. The extension doesn't support this feature. So if you want it works like this, I am afraid of you will have to find out how to customize the code to make it works like that
If you know programming, you can try to look at the file components/com_osmembership/models/register.php and do the customization

Hi Tuan,
Sorry to trouble you again.
1. I wondered if I used a fixed date instead. So that all promotional subscribers expire on the same date for e.g. 31st January 2016. So on renewal of their subscription, the next expiry date would be the 31st January 2017.
2. If this is possible, can I hide this this subscription plan from new subscribers?
Regards

Hi Graham
=> Yes this feature is supported. You just need to set Fixed Expiration date of the plan to the date you want and It will work well
=> New subscribers mean users don't have account on your site ? Maybe set the Access field of the plan to Registered and public users won't see it. Will that work ?
