I have the OS Membership Pro component v 1.6.5 and Joomla 3.3.5.. I would like to know if it is possible to protect PDF links with the OS Membership Pro Component. I want only my subscribers to the membership plan to be able to access these files. I have articles that are set to this membership using the Article Restriction that contain links to PDF's but it doesn't protect linked PDF files from any user just directly typing the url in to access the PDF. I thought that maybe the URL Restriction Plugin would do this but it doesn't seem to work. I'm now assuming that the OS Membership Pro component is not capable of protecting linked files.
Is there any way to protect these linked files? Thank you in advance.

The url restriction plugin can only protect pages generated by Joomla, not static linked files. So in this case, I think if you want to give your subscribers permission to download protected PDF files, you will need to use Membership Pro together with a Downloads manager extension (for example, our EDocman extension)

Thanks for your quick response. I assume that it wouldn't work but figured I'd ask, would the same go for the link if it was created using the Weblinks component?
Also if my only option would be to use a component like EDocman in combination with OS Membership, would this be simple to integrate? I guess I'm asking are they intended to work together? I will only want my paid subscribers that have gone through the OS Membership registration process to have access to the documents, hopefully seamless feeling.
Thanks in advance.

=> Depends on the link. Of the link you created in Weblinks is the link to static link (like the link to the PDF file), it still work.

=> Yes. All you need to do is config Membership pro so that when users sign up, they will be assigned to a Joomla groups. Then config EDocman so that users from that groups will be able to download documents. It is quite simple
