Using Groups to access content was created by rekrapt
I purchased Membership Pro for a website I'm building that sells betting picks for several types of sports.

There are different types of memberships... some are annual, some are monthly, and some are daily.

I have created groups off of the "registered" group. They are as follows:

All Sports Package Annual
College Football Daily
NFL Football Daily
NFL-College Monthly
NFL-College Annual
Horse Racing Daily
Horse Racing Monthly
Horse Racing Annual
College Basketball Daily
NBA-College Basketball Annual
NBA Basketball Daily
Triple Crown Package
Kentucky Derby
The Preakness
Belmont Stakes
Breeders Cup
Guaranteed Line
Other Picks - Just part of All Sports Annual (Boxing, UFC, and Future's)

With the exception of the "All Sports Package", I have created content categories for all of the different sports. The first one "All Sports Package Annual", needs to be able to access all the content categories.

I need some help trying to figure out how to setup these groups so that All Sports can access everything, and the other groups can only access their respective content category. I've gone over the ACL documentation until my eyes are bugging out. I'm wondering if I should nest the groups differently.

Can anyone help?

Hi,

You are almost done. Create ACL's for each group and give rights for each group throughts its ACL. As you do so also give rights to 'All sports group' . E.g. for 'Football_weekly_group', you will create 'Football_weekly_ACL'. On 'Football_weekly_ACL, add group 'Football_weekly_group' and 'All_sports_group'. On the article, remember to reset ACL from 'public' to 'Football_weekly_ACL'.

I am not sure if it is the shortest route but it works.
