Subscription Payment Failure Message was created by Craig Steinberg
When an attempt to make a payment using Authorize.net fails (invalid CC number, etc.), the following message is being displayed (see attached JPG for the exact message):
Subscription failure
Your payment for the subscription was failure. Please review the reason below and try again
Reason Credit Card Number is invalid.
This is NOT the message I have in my Emails & Messages configuration for the Payment Failure Message. I don't know where this message is being generated from, or how to change it. The URL reads www.theaado.org/index.php/component/osme...re&id=124&Itemid=140
1. Why is it not showing the message I have as my Payment Failure Message in the Email & Messages configuration?
2. How do I change this message? I like that it gives the reason for the failure, but I need to give additional information because of a Bug in membership pro that prevents the user from trying again until I manually "enable" the user.

Okay, I've found a partial answer to my own question. In the Translation section the messages can be found and changed. But that doesn't explain why the payment failure message in the Emails & Messages doesn't work.

Indeed, it appears that MOST of the messages that appear on the screens are in the TRANSLATION section and can be changed or customized. That's great. Very simple.
But that leaves the question then of WHAT the Failed Payment message is used for in the Emails & Messages screen?

Failied Payment Message is usually used when you used a credit card based payment gateway like authorize.net. When you entered a wrong credit card number for example, the payment is failure and the message will be displayed !

But it isn't. The message in the "TRANSLATION" section for OSM_FAILURE_MESSAGE is displayed, NOT the message in the EMAILS & MESSAGES section for "Payment Failure Message."
How do I get the message in the Emails & Messages, Payment Failure Message, to display when a payment failure occurs instead of the message entered in Translation for "OSM_FAILURE_MESSAGE"?

Yes. Sorry, I am wrong. At the moment, the translation for OSM_FAILURE_MESSAGE will be used for payment failure message. Sorry but since it is not used from beginning, If you want to use the message in Emails & Messages section, you can submit a support ticket and we will edit the code it for you. We could not add this modification to the core because it might causes some trouble with existing customers !

That's okay. I was just wondering if there was a reason or if I was doing something wrong.
I have figured out how to get around the problem of a user being marked as "blocked" by the Joomla User Manager if their credit card payment does not go through. In the Helper folder, in helper.php, at line 1775, I changed the value from "1" to "0" and now when the new subscriber is added to the Joomla User Manager database the subscriber is fully enabled. They remain "pending" in the os_membership database. But, now they can Login and try paying again.
