Registration Group help please

Hi,

Registration integration is set to yes.

I created a custom field drop down box in membership Pro: Member type A, Member type B

In joomla registration I intend setting 2 types of membership to correspond, Members A, Members B

How can I set it up that if the custom field Type: A or B is selected ir will put the correct member into the correct Joomla group?

Hi Ben

Unfortunately this feature is not supported. When you create a custom field to allow users to choose Member Type during the registration, there is no way for the extension know that the custom field is mapped to Joomla group.

So in this case, I think you will have to customize the extension to add support for this feature yourself.

Am I right in thinking that if I set up different membership plans they could filter to the correct joomla user group? If so, this might be an option?

Another problem Im having (which I suspect is joomla) when im registering a test user the email verification email bounces with undeliverable yourmail2@yourdname.com - any idea what thats all about.

=> Yes. You can go to Extensions -> Plugins Manager, find and publish the OS Membership - Joomla Groups plugin. After that, when you add/edit a subscription plan, you will be able to choose which Joomla groups users will be assigned to when he sign up for the subscription plan and It will solve the issue.
