Also, does Membership Pro integrate with Jomsocial so that a person does not need to fill in their name/address a second time upon checkout?

=> Yes. Membership Pro has a feature allows restrict access to URLs, so you can simply enter URLs of these topics in the url access settings tab when create subscription plans and It will bre restricted.

Sorry for brining this up again.

I have a site with exisiting users on the site who have not taken up a "membership" option. We have a free and 2 paid options. I do not want to kick these people off the site, but I would like to "force" them to sign up for the free plan, although, would like to do it via the forum in restricting access to certain topics for people who have not signed up via membership pro.

To be honest, I don't really understand the problem and what you are trying to do. However, I think you can try to use this method to restrict access to the forum categories you want and force users to sign up for the plan if he want to access to that forum.
