simple email capture

i have purchased Membership P{ro
my client would like to have a simple "email / name" capture form on the home page, it would be for the user to receive something for free just their email and name...i would love for the info to go into a group

this form would be different from the registration you can see it here:

in the yellow box... right now its just the normal joomla login

Could you please explain more detail ? If you only collect name and email, how will you send "something" to users for free ? What will you send to them ? And how will you send it to them ?

Please give me more detailed information so that I can guide you how to setup the extension to work !

the client just wants to give the user a free download for registering....they would also be able to get into the first tier of the site a "basic membership"...to get deeper into the site the user would have to become a full paid member...
