Option to apply "Fixed Subscription Start Date" to Subscription Renewals

First of all, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Ossolution support team. The support here is consistently fast, patient, and extremely helpful, and Membership Pro is truly one of the most powerful and flexible membership solutions for Joomla!

I’d like to submit a feature request regarding Fixed Subscription Start Date that I believe would greatly benefit many organizations, schools, clubs, and annual membership sites.

💡 Current Situation & The Challenge
Many organizations operate on a fixed membership year or cycle (for example, a school year or fiscal year starting on August 1st every year). In the Subscription Plan settings, we can easily set:

Subscription Start Date Option: Fixed Date

Fixed Subscription Start Date: e.g., 2026-08-01

Currently, this fixed start date only applies to New Subscriptions. For Renewals, Membership Pro offers two main configuration options:

Use previous expired date: If a member skipped subscribing last year and renews this year, the system calculates the start date from two years ago, creating confusion that they paid for the missing year.

Use today's date: If a member renews late (e.g., on August 15th), the start date becomes August 15th instead of aligning with the fixed cycle start date of August 1st.

In both cases, administrators have to manually adjust the start dates for late or returning renewals to align with the official fixed cycle.

🚀 Proposed Feature Request
Add a new option in the Subscription Plan (or Global Configuration):
👉 "Apply Fixed Subscription Start Date to Renewals" (Yes / No)

When set to Yes: When a renewal (manual or automated) is processed, the system will apply the plan’s Fixed Subscription Start Date for the current cycle as the renewal start date, regardless of when the previous subscription expired or when the renewal was submitted.

⭐ How This Will Improve Operational Experience
Eliminates Manual Adjustments: Admins won't need to manually edit start dates for late renewals or members returning after a gap.

Ensures Consistent Membership Cycles: Perfect for associations, educational institutions, and clubs that rely strictly on fixed annual membership periods.

Accurate Reporting & Invoicing: Prevents misunderstandings regarding skipped years or misaligned service periods.
