Square Payment Plugin and recurring memberships

Hello.
Is there any hope of an update to the Square Payment Plugin so that it supports recurring memberships?  I ask because apparently the Square API does support setting up Square Subscriptions which would support recurring memberships.  I'm interested if that will ever be supported.
