Plan Expired Date was created by Paul Smith
Issue: Our club has a fixed annual membership start date (May 1 of every year). We start taking new plan subscribers for the next year's membership a few months before the official start date (eg Feb or March with an early joining discount using coupon codes). Each Plan's "Expired Date" needs to be changed every year for New subscriptions to handle early sign-ups. The current implementaion only correctly handles sign ups after the official start date ....
  1. Fixed Expiration Date. For this type of subscription plans, when subscribers sign up, their subscriptions will be expired at a fixed date (for example 31 December 2016), not depend on the date they sign up. Of course the extension is smart enough so that if users sign up after that fixed date, their expiration date will be changed to next year. For example, if you set Expiration Date of the plan to 31 Decemmber 2015 and users sign up at sometime in 2016, their subscription will be expired on 31 December 2016. So in this case, you won't have to change setting of the plan every year.

Suggestion:  Allow a date to be specified with a wildcard year (and/or month) and an interval eg (2 mths, *-04-30) meaning any new (annual) subscription in the 2 months prior to every April 30th will automatically be assigned the correct year

Similarly, for monthly subscriptions, there may be a wild card month and interval in days or months

Suggested parameter fields...

Subscription Expired Date: Month: mm     Day: dd
Subscription Open Date: Month: MM    Day: DD

So, a Plan for new Subscriptions will be open beginning MM/DD of every year and expire mm/dd of the year 12 months hence

Hello Paul

If I understand your requirement correctly, it is already supported. You can just set Overlap Period setting of the plan to 2 months and in case users subscribed within 2 months from the expired date of the plan, his subscription will be expired next year

Tuan

Tuan - FYI, I do not see a description for the Overlap parameter in the documentation ...
