Display custom field only on renewal?

There is some data that we only want to collect when members re-new, is there any way to ONLY display a field on renewal and not on the subscription form for new members?

Sorry - I think the obvious answer is just make the field only visible to subscribers - please ignore the question.

Unfortunately, we do not support this option at the moment. We only allow hiding fields on renewal, not showing more fields on renewal
