Gift Membership Implementation

I don't think we have a pressing need for this, but we would be interested in offering our site users the ability to purchase a membership as a gift.

Would this be useful to anyone else using Membership Pro?

I have a client who has asked me to look into this for them, so I would find the feature very useful.

We get asked by potential customers, if we have a gift certificate often. Especially now, in the season before xmas.

So of course we would also like this feature:

• start subscription at a date defined by customer
• pay entire subscription duration at once before start of the membership
• or start billing at date defined by customer (in case of recurring subscription)
• possibility to enter gift receivers name (new subscription)
• send customer a PDF with gift certificate and gift receivers name (ideally styleable like bills)

The ability for someone to purchase/gift a membership is something that would be useful for our organization.

This would be an advantageous feature for us also

Just as a temporary/manual solution.
You could set up a Gift Membership Plan that, if you have many plans, has the option to choose what plan to purchase.

Do not link the plan to any special Joomla Groups so that the purchaser does not get access to any restricted content.

The email for the successful purchase says you will send them a gift certificate shortly.

You create a unique 1 time Coupon code for 100% discount for the purchased plan. Add the code to a nice gift certificate and send that to the purchaser.
