Members List Search is pretty limited. was created by SAPFM Admin
Good Day
The "Members List Search" does not function as I would have likes/expected searching "First name, Last Name, Email and Membership ID" is pretty limited.
Do you think a check box could be added so when creating a custom/any field(s) they(the selected) could be added to the search criteria this way the admin could select what fields are searched.
Thanks for considering

Hello
We have it implemented as a hidden feature. You can follow the instructions below to have it works:
1. Login to administrator area of your site
2. Access to this page domain.com/administrator/index.php?optio...field_id=ID_OF_FIELD
- domain.com needs to be replaced with URL of your site
- ID_OF_FIELD must be replaced with id of the custom field you want to be searchable
Please note that you should only do that for the fields you really need. Making too many fields search able could make the search become slows (that's why I made this as a hidden feature only)

Thanks Tuan, that worked !
Your solution was a bit more complicated than I expected as it basically created the custom field as a DB core field! But it works well and we only have a couple of thousand members so not too slow
Cheers,
Pete

That's easiest way to implement, and it works. Assume you need more exactly search result (for example, allow users to enter keyword for separate fields), it will be easier to customize, too
That's the best solution to me

Yeah - being a separate field makes everything easier
Does this mean filtering per (searchable) field module will be along soon ? For checkboxes etc?

Cheers,
Pete

No, it will remain as how it's. If you want more than that, you will have to customize the code yourself. But with the way data is stored, you know that it should be possible to do the customization
