[17-August-2021] Membership Pro version 2.24.0 released - Hello Joomla! 4

Dear Customers

Today, I am happy to announce the next release of Membership Pro, version 2.24.0  with the following changes:

1. Fully compatible with Joomla 4
This is the main afford of this release. While previous version of Membership Pro works well with Joomla 4, there are still many minor changes the layouts of the extension to have fully compatible with Joomla 4 UI (both CSS and JS). As of right now, I'm happy to confirm that the extension is fully compatible with Joomla 4! (which will be released later today), both in terms of functionality and UI.

2. Improve Routing
I worked on some improvements/optimization to routing code to have it works better with Joomla 4 and multilingual website.

3. Improve Subscription Form Columns Layout
Use better solution to handle layout in Subscription Form column layout. In the past, we rely on css positioning to align the right column with the left column of the layout. However, there could be problem in case right column is longer than left column in some special case. With the solution we use in this version, we won't have to worry about this anymore

4. Update Countries - States Database
The countries states database which we were using on older version is outdated. It does not contains states for many countries in the world. In this new version, we update the countries /states database to an up to date database (which only affect new installation).

If you update Membership Pro and want to use this updated database, login to administrator area of your site and access to this URL:

domain.com/administrator/index.php?optio...ries_states_database ( replace  domain.com/administrator with actual administrator URL of your site) to update the database to use this more up to date countries/states list.

5. Changes
I should also mention that the Payment Plugins and Emails & Messages menu item on Membership Pro backend is now moved under Setup menu item. That's to save space of the top menu to fit Joomla4 administrator template

Please update your site to this updated version of Membership Pro to use these improvements. Especially if you want to build new site in the future, better uses Joomla 4 because it is a much better, faster version compare to Joomla 3. And you know, Membership Pro is already compatible.

Yes. All the improvements we made still work for Joomla 3.9.0+, Joomla 3.10 and Joomla 4. So please always update and use latest version
