Membership Pro version 2.18.2 released

Dear customers

Today, I am happy to announce the next release of Membership Pro, version 2.18.2 with the following improvements:

1. Added Taxable setting to custom field

This setting allow you to disable tax for a custom fee field if needed.

2. Improve Group Members Managements

- Allow searching base on data of custom fields marked as Searchable. (using this tool membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/tools#...-sort-and-searchable )
- Allow showing fields which has Show On Subscriptions Management setting set to Yes.

3. Improve Show On Member Lists setting

- Added a new setting called Enable Select Show/Hide On Members List On First Subscription. If you set to Yes, users can choose to show/hide themself from members list when they first subscribe for your plan (currently, they can only change this setting from user profile)

4. Support [PAYMENT_LINK] tag

- You can embed this new tag into offline payment email messages. The idea is someone can subscribe/renew/upgrade his membership using offline payment, then get the Payment Link and ask someone else to make payment for that subscription. It's useful in case the person who makes payment is different with the person who subscribes for the plan

5. Small Bug Fix
- Fixed SQL error when on backend group members management page

Hi Tuan

I'm not sure why this error message appeared after I installed the latest version; it seems on the Memb. Pro dashboard that I am now on 2.18.2 but please see the Error screenshot attached.
1118: Row size too large. The maximum row size for the used table type, not counting BLOBs, is 8126. This includes storage overhead, check the manual. You have to change some columns to TEXT or BLOBs.

Maybe you are using too many languages on your site? Please try to follow instructions at membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/tools#...size-too-large-error to try to solve the issue

Thanks Tuan, but it shouldn’t be that; I only have English GB language. I’ll try the solution in the docs tomorrow as we have a power outage at the moment!

Does this release fix the ACY Mailing field integration?

don't you think it could be useful also for ONLINE payment?

This way, website admin can send reminder email (or email after end of subscription) and invite to renew or re-subscribe to a specific plan without the user have to research for that plan.

That should be different thing. Currently, [PAYMENT_LINK] is used to allow making payment for offline payment subscriptions only.

Yes, I mean that. Not necessarily [PAYMENT_LINK] but, as in a previous message of mine, something like [PAYMENT_URL].

So Admin can drive the user go directly to payment form (the "sign-up" URL), without to modify end/reminder e-mails for every plan.

It could be [RENEWAL_PAYMENT_LINK]. Something like that could be added to the extension in the future
