Membership Pro version 2.12.2 released

Dear customers

Today, I am happy to release new version 2.12.2 of Membership Pro with following improvements:

1. Disable same users from using free trial duration for a recurring subscription plan multiple times

With this change, if someone subscribe for a recurring subscription with free trial from second time, he won't get free trial duration anymore. That will help prevent dis-honest users from sign up for free trial duration, then cancel it when the trial duration is end and then re-subscribe again

2. Allow setting up metadata for each subscription plan - SEO improvement

You can now specify Page Title, Page Heading, Meta keywords, meta description for each subscription plan

3. Improve multilingual:

You can now translate place holder of custom field, group member emails (when you use group membership) to all languages use on your site.

4. Improve group membership

Now, when group admin upgrade his membership, all group members will be upgraded, too

5. Support tooltip for username and password input on subscription form

If you have complicated username and password rules, you can add tooltip to username and password fields to explain this rules to your users so that they can enter the correct username and password from the beginning via two new language items:

OSM_USERNAME_TOOLTIP
OSM_PASSWORD_TOOLTIP

6. Fix subscription renewal behavior setting:

The Upgrade subscription option didn't work before, it should work OK now

Please update your site to this latest version to have most stable version + use these new improvements

Top man ! thanks for this - a couple of questions, When is the payment taken and is therea list of who has used their free trial.

1. If you create a recurring payment trial plan, the first payment will be taken (automatically by the payment gateway) when the trial period finished

2. Currently, we don't have a way to show list of users has used their trial

The improvement here is that if someone sign up for the free trial duration, then cancel it, and subscribe again for the second time, the system won't allow them to get free trial duration anymore. They will have to pay the price for the regular duration

Hi. Today this happened:

1. Joomla is up to date.
2. Found an alert to update Memebership pro
3. Used the joomla update system to update the component
4. The whole backend blocked with the message : 500 Library path /administrator/components/com_osmembership/libraries/mpf cannot be found.
5. Frontend also stopped working with message : CLASS 'MPFCONFIG' NOT FOUND

I´ll appreciate advice on this asap.

@Luis Maybe the update was failed for some reasons. Please access to My Downloads menu item, download the package, update it manually and update us with the result

If the error still happens, submit a support ticket sending me super admin account of your site so that we can check it

There are two things fixed related to that issue:

1. You get invalid subscription code error when you renew subscription

2. The payment amount in email and invoice.. could be wrong in some case (use payment amount of original record, not the renewal record)

I don't know if there are other issues but that are the two issues were fixed

I have never seen 1 but I was hoping 2 was fixed but ............... I also found the payment amount in the renewal record was incorrect if you renewed after an upgrade. Was this fixed as part of this?

I need to know as I have custom PHP I can take out if it was.

The issue only happens if you set Subscription Renewal Behavior config option to Update Subscription. If you set it to Create new Subscription (default setting), then the issue won't happen

Regarding #2, if you renewal from administrator area using Renew Subscription Button, the issue might still present. Haven't had time to work on that yet
