acymailing plugin was created by Dave Ascher
It appears that the acymailing plugin still has 
./acymailing/acymailing.php:14: class plgJDonationAcyMailing extends JPlugin

Should the acymailing plugin be removed as there is now an acym plugin that I would guess is intended to replace the old plugin for Joomla! 6?

Yes, Dave, you can unpublish that plugin because Acym is now being used to replace AcyMailing.
