Webhooks for recurring gifts using Stripe was created by Anne Notarthomas
Hello,
I'm confused by the proper way to set up the webhook in Stripe. I'm seeing different info in support responses from what the "readme" file says (and I'm concerned this is old since there is no "s" on http://):
domain.com/index.php?option=com_jdonatio...ent_method=os_stripe
(Of course, need to replace domain.com with your website url)
and select event "invoice.payment_succeeded"
Thanks for your help.

- Are those instructions still correct (I assume it should be https://)?
- Is there specific documentation for Joomdonation setup?
- Should I be selecting any other events for failed payments or cancellations of recurring donations?
- I was seeing something about adding a signing secret -- is that just for other extensions, but not Joomdonation? If it is for Joomdonation, I can't find where to add it.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Anne,
Please note that the Webhook URL for JD Stripe must be SSL-secured, which means it should start with "https".
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please let us know.
Thanks
Dam

Hi Dam,
Thank you for confirming the https (maybe you can update that readme file that comes with the zip file.)
Can you respond to me other questions, too:
- Is that link still correct -- I saw a different link indicated in another support post.
- Is there specific documentation for Joomdonation stripe setup?
- Should I be selecting any other events for failed payments or cancellations of recurring donations?

Hi Anne,
The Webhook link you provided ( domain.com/index.php?option=com_jdonatio...ent_method=os_stripe ) is correct for JD Stripe (please note this is different from JD Stripe Checkout). Additionally, the event "invoice.payment_succeeded" is also the correct one to use.
You do not need to take any further action.
If you have any further questions or need assistance, please let us know.
Thanks
Dam
