Private Campaigns?

I am a bit confused about something and I am wondering if I am doing something incorrectly or if this feature is no available.
For our donations, we have a variety of campaigns, several of which are specific to each of our nonprofit programs. A donor can choose what program they wish to donate to. Here is the current set-up example:

"Select Campaign" (drop down)
Donate to Program A 
Donate to Program B
Donate to Program C
Donate to Program D

What I also want to do is set up  campaigns for private groups. This is usually referred to as Peer-to-Peer fundraising. In this instance a campaign is set up for an organization. In this example, we'll use a local high school that is having a fundraiser for our organization.  I have set-up a separate campaign for that school and also have linked directly to that donation page for the students to distribute. We'll call that campaign "Donate to High School".  I want this campaign to be private an only accessed by the link to that donation page.

But, here is what is happening. When you go back to our original donation page for outside users, we are now seeing this is the drop-down:
"Select Campaign" (drop down)
Donate to Program A 
Donate to Program B
Donate to Program C
Donate to Program D
Donate to High School

How do I remove that High School campaign from the drop-down? I don't want that visible to the general public on the org's donation page.  I did see an option on the campaign configurate about making a campaign private but when selected to Yes or No, I notice no change and the campaign is still listed.

I hope my explanation makes sense. Any insight on this?

Hi Taylor,
Thank you for your detailed explanation.
That behavior is indeed strange. The private campaign should not appear in the public dropdown list once the "Private" setting is enabled.
To investigate this further and find a solution, could you please create a support ticket and provide us with the following information:

- The URL of your site
- A Joomla super administrator account we can use to check the settings directly

Once we have access, we’ll look into the issue and get back to you as soon as possible.
