Tracking donations in Google Analytics 4

I would like to track donations in Google Analytics 4 to better understand the sources of revenues.

Mi idea was to define a custom GA event based on the 'page_view' event triggered when donors come back to the 'donation-complete.html' page after payment.

However, I have no idea how to capture also the 'value' of the donation.

Any suggestion, best practise to share?

Hi Stefano,
First of all, you will need to make sure Google Tag Manager (GTM) or GA4 gtag.js have been installed in your template (Google Analytics > Data Streams > Global Site Tag (gtag.js)).
Next, we can add the script in Donation Complete page to track / and send the donation information.

Yes, we have the gtag.js installed in our site.

You can submit ticket on category: Joom Donation and provide your site credentials. I will add script to track and send event with the donation summary.
