Installation Error on Joomla 4 was created by Peter Auer

Hello,
i've tried to install Joom Donation at the latest J4.
Testet with PHP 7.4 and 8

Code:

Incorrect string value: '\xA0...' for column `xxxxx`.`xxxxx_jd_configs`.`config_value` at row 2

With Joomla 3.10 it works without problems.

Hello Mr. Dam,
this could take a while.
My online pages are all still running with Joomla 3.

In the meantime I have tried to install Joom Donation on J4 on my other pc (also on a test server).
Here I get another error message.

Code:

BLOB/TEXT column 'currency_code' can't have a default value

Maybe that will help you further?

Hi Peter,
It's not mean anything, because it's the issue of MySQL 5 on Windows.
That issue has been mentioned here: stackoverflow.com/questions/3466872/why-...fault-value-in-mysql and it also provide the solution to solve the issue

Oh yes that can be.
That is an older Xampp system.

But the first installation was on the current test environment.
