Gateway Fee in Donation Total was created by Dave B
Hello, my client just pointed out the total donation is not including the % I have set for the gateway fee. Since they are actually paying this much to us can you add an option to add this to the total so it's reported correctly? They said their tax accountant needs the total paid, not the donation amount.

Thank you

So the Total donated amount will have to subtract the total payment fee?
Thanks

Hi Dave,
I replied you through ticket system, i already provided my opinion. But I think you can write your idea through this forum, if it attracts the approval of everyone, I will think deeply and carefully about implementing the changes.

The donations should reflect the entire amount the person donates. If they choose to pay the gateway fee in the donation form then they are paying more than the amount they selected in the amount. So this is part of the donation and should be in the total amount. Their credit card statement or PayPal account will show more than your receipt does. I feel this is an issue for donors records. Their entire payment is tax deductible. It should be on the donor's email and receipt from JoomDonation.

See screenshots. Paypal shows this correctly. JD only shows the amount they choose to donate, this is not correct for tax recording purposes. They are paying $10.60 not $10 to us. This should be in the total. So if someone donates $1000 they are actually donating $1030, etc.

Thank you,
Dave
