Pre-Defined Amounts

I'd like to see the radio list be buttons myself. Community Builder has this option in its radio lists for either list or button so it's more user-friendly to choose the amount. Different request though.

Dam, how hard would it be to make the selections into buttons vs radio lists? I could ask the Community Builder developers how that's done.

Well I tried adding the [c] and it does nothing. I considered using some other form extension but the integration into the JoomDonation database is a necessity to maintain history and for tax purposes. My client is a non profit that has been using JoomDonation for a number of years and changing to something else would be a major issue at this point.
I will wait to see what Dam can do.

Yep, just trying to help with ideas. It won't work without him adding the PHP to make it work. The point was it's probably a simple thing to add. I have not found an alternative to JD that has all the features so just wait and see. He likes the idea so you're probably in luck.

That would be satisfactory as well. The goal is to be able to make it as easy as possible for donors to make a decision. If we have 5 levels pre-defined and $50 is the 2nd one after $35, then the donor has the option of selecting $35 if $50 is too much. They still make a donation at a level they are comfortable with or can just let the $50 be default and fill out the form. It has been proven that this strategy increases donor participation significantly.

That's why I chimed in to say it's a good idea. I think you may be right and it helps the conversion rate of donations.

This can be accomplished in the Custom Fields using the Radio type for the field and it allows for a option to be pre-selected.
This should be implemented in the configuration settings so that the option can be used in whatever format the predefined amounts are displayed, like I had shown in the example in my first post

No, we will use Pre-defined amounts, and like Rsform, we will use character "[c]" to point the pre-selected amount option

When do you expect to be able to make this change? My client would like to move forward with implementing this as soon as possible in 2021 so they can proceed with some campaigns for the new year.

Next Joom Donation version will be released on Jan 2021. In the meantime, we are quite busy.
