Cancel recurring payment was created by Alex Radin
I am having trouble finding how a donor can cancel. We have implimented stripe for recurring donation but don't see how we can update a donors subscription if they want to cancel or change their donation amount?

Hi Alex,
Currently, Joom Donation doesn't have option to cancel the recurring donation. User should login to their Payment account and cancel the recurring payments.
Thanks
Dam

So do we get notified if the donor cancels? How will we find out about the cancelation?

Ok so we will see that in the backend somehow? In membership pro there are notification emails that go out based on diferent events such as if someone doesn't pay their recurring invoice but I don't see the same types of things in here for joom donation. So if someone signs up to donate $500 per month and their payment fails how will we know to follow up with them? Is there any admin notification that goes out? If someone has commited to a certain amount that is supporting a specific student they need to know if the donation did not come through or it could cause some big problems for them and the person the donation is supporting ... so trying to figure out how they will be abe to manage this.

Hi Alex,
Joom Donation is difference with Membership Pro, in Membership Pro, the "Recurring cancellation" is more important than in Joom Donation. But we will consider to find solution to implement it in future.
Thanks

Yes ... for non profit organizations trying to run their organizations donors are actually as important as members ... they count on the commitments from donors just like a membership site counts on the payments from its members. They need to be able to follow up with people if a payment fails or they forget to mail in their check etc... Often the organizations are supporting individuals that are counting on those resources so being able to manage and track things is just as important. They also need to be able to send their donors a report of the donations they made throughout the year.
I could see using the same codebase more or less from membership pro but instead of subscribing for a specific membership they are donating to a campaign ... if they cancel a recuring payment they get a message thanking them for their support or whatever and the admin gets notified ... really all the same features but for donors instead of members and no need for ACL and restricted content ... obviously still the campaign tracking and goals would be good but not much difference in terms of payments ... you have recurring and one time .. online and offline.
So I guess that is a feature request for the future and I will have to figure out something different for them in the meantime. Do you know if stripe sends out notifications when someone cancels a recurring donation? They may be able to track things directly from stripe in the meantime.

Hello Dam,
I just enable the function "Allow donor to cancel recurring donation", but there's no button on front-end for user click to cancel. Any suggestion?
Thanks.
