Row size too large. Error on update to 5.6.17

I'm updating JoomDonation from 5.6.12 to the latest version 5.6.17 I'm getting the following error:

Row size too large. The maximum row size for the used table type, not counting BLOBs, is 8126. This includes storage overhead, check the manual. You have to change some columns to TEXT or BLOBs
Package Update: There was an error installing an extension: com_jdonation.zip

I tried appending "&task=fix_row_size2" to the URL which I found on a different thread for Membership Pro but it doesn't fix Joomdonation.

I just got joomdonation and have the same issue

Hi David,
As you can understand, this is problem of your database while it doesn't to add more "Varchar" columns into db table. You can submit ticket and i will send you the alternative Joom Donation package to solve this kind of issue. In future, you will still able to update Joom Donation normally without any problems.
