Adding transaction date into the donation receipt

Are there general tags I can use to help improve the donation receipt?
It does not seem to contain the date of the transaction and this is a problem for donors that want to use it for tax deduction.
I suspect I can use [CAMPAIGN] and other tags, but current date would be great as would some of the custom fields??

There are many tags you can use:

[CAMPAIGN]
[AMOUNT]
[DONATION_DATE]
[ID]
[TRANSACTION_ID]

Any fields on Donation Form using the syntax [NAME_OF_CUSTOM_FIELD_IN_UPPER_CASE]. For example [FIRST_NAME], [LAST_NAME]....

Thank you for the help in this topic, things are going well. I have one more question. Is there any field I can use to show the type of payment? I am being asked to add a line to the receipt that shows if the payment was offline (a check) or credit card ( authorize.net). Ideally I would like to add the title of the active payment plug-in because these are correctly labeled, "Pay by Check" and "Credit Card".
Not a high priority but by chance there is a field I can use please share.
