How to translate title for custom fields , JD 3.8 was created by Eric
Hi all,
Almost everything is in the subject.
The way to manage custom fields has changed between version 3.6 and 3.8.
It's easy to translate the titles of fields that belong to Joom donation, using the key in the translation management.
But if you create a new custom field, the key for the title that you want to translate will not exist in the translation managment.
So is there a way to translate our own custom fields ?
Thanks in advance
Eric

Hi Eric
The solution is:
1. Using language key for title of the custom field. For example, JD_NAME_OF_THE_FIELD
2. Adding this language item to the English language file language/en-GB/en-GB.com_jdonation.ini (you need to download it via FTP, adding the language items to the file, then upload it again to server)
3. Then go to Joom Donation -> Translation, translate them as core fields in Joom Donation
Hope it is clear to you

Thanks Tuan,
Perfectly clear and it works fine !
For people who are interested in, it's possible to translate title but not values (for checkbox or radio button by example)

Yes, correct. At the moment, you can only translate title of the fields using the solution. If you want to translate values, maybe you will have to use Joom Donation together with a third party extension like Falang (I think it is a fork of Joomfish)
