JoomDonation Hacked Email

Hi - I got the email as well. Did they just get our email details or did they get any thing else? ie payment details, username etc?

I received as well and am subscribed. Seems obvious we need to change our email address used here but is that enough?

Assuming NGO's and nonprofits are using this extension, this is very disheartening this time of year.

I received this as well, very scary. I have to say, I have taken some of JoomDonation's components apart in the past and re-written them and found some of the code sloppy and with careless errors. The developers worked with me and I was able to slowly fix these programs, and my fixes were hopefully incorporated into the future releases. I can see some of the points of the hacker email, and he seems to have a hatred for Vietnam based business. If there are specific fixes to stop this guy from hacking our websites, please share.

My educated guess - someone got access to your customer database. (ex-employee perhaps?)
I indeed did purchase this component, but it is currently not active on any of my sites. This guy just bragging and bringing harm to your company.

It would be very helpful if you can confirm.

Hi all, I received it too !!!

I got the email too - but only to 1 of the 2 email accounts that i had used to purchase products from OS Solutions. Back on 4/1/13 i purchased Event Booking (which is installed on one of my sites). This was the email address that i received the threat from. But just last week i purchased OS Property (which is installed on another one of my sites) using a different email address. But strangely I didn't received this threat at that email address. Hopefully this oddity is some help to the developers.

Does they gain access to your support tickets ?

very scary way to start the day - I have a lot of sites with joomdonation components - hopefully Tuan can sort asap
