Need upgrade help

I tried to upgrade Joom Donation component to the latest version 2.6.2. But it seems like I have to uninstall the older version first and then I will lose all data in the database. Most components to Joomla is just to install one more time and then are they upgraded automatically without any loss of data in the database.

I have been looking in the tutorials for upgrade instructions but it is not even mentioned. I would like to know how I should upgrade Joom Donation without losing the data in my database.

Hi

To upgrade the component , you can simply uninstall the old version and install new version . All data (including configuration data) will be kept .
