CSV documentation

I have not been able to find any documentation here about the layout of the csv export file.

Is something available?

There is no document for csv export file. However, to see how it works, you can simply try to run the export yourself. Have you tried to export donors data yet ?

I am trying to determine if Joomdonation is the right tool for my organization.
The csv file is critical since it would be imported into our accounting systems. I need to understand the data elements, formats and compatibility with our systems and whether fields can be converted during export or have to be done after with another process.

I also thought I saw somewhere that there's a way to run it in test mode but I can't find that anymore either.

Basically, the csv file will contains all the information which you collect from donors in the donation form. I am sure that it doesn't meet your accouting system requirements. However, atleast you can have the exported data in the CSV file and then you can organize the format of that file to meet your requirement.
