anonymous donation was created by kiwi2b
Hi there, hope your new year went well!
Can you take a look at these features for the next version, big please...
Critically, can you make the donation form better able to handle anonymous donations? I need all forms
to be optional, at the moment the first name and email is mandatory. So can you change this?
Ideally, a check box to say yes to the collection of personal data would be great. Maybe a box that
'switches on' the rest of the form in some way allowing data to be collected would be ideal.
Can you make the email address box displayed in the donation form show as empty, and / or something we
can choose? At the moment it comes up as the admin's email address. My users may leave it as it which
means I won't get there email address.
Thanks in advance...

Hi
We need atleast two fields :
- First name : For managing donors from back-end .
- Email : To send confirmation email to donors
Therefore, I cannot change it for you , sorry about that
=> It will not show admin email address . If you are not logged in, the email address box will be empty . If you logged in, that will be your email address . The purpose of this feature is that It auto popular form fields (in this case- email) so that users won't have to type the information stored in his profile already . That will save donors time .
Hope the explanation is clear to you .
Thanks ,
Tuan

Yep, clear with the email box, good explanation.
But the anonymous problem. I have asked some donors, and some just don't like to give there details. It would be okay for them to give to paypal, but not to me. Is there anyway at all, maybe by an anonymous entry of some kind???
Here's hoping

I think I cannot integrate it into core code of Joom Donation . Currently, I am working on new version of Joom Donation with some advanced improvements . When I complete it , I may spend some small time to customize it or you .
Thanks ,

That would be great. Currently, the organisation is used to a single click through to paypal. They would like the functionality of your programme, but I'm pretty sure they and some donors would also want the possibility of anonymous donations as well.

The only thing I can say is that I agree some people are picky about their personal information. The problem is, here in the US we have to issue end-of-year tax receipts to all donors. If the donor does not provide basic information, we cannot be in compliance with IRS regulations nor can the donor take a tax write-off for the donation.
Mind you, this is my own personal advice. If I understand correctly there is already a way for the donor to hide their information from other people on the website, but the admins still have all teh necessary info. Is that correct?
