help please... was created by J
Hi there,
I have just installed the Joom Donation module - the install seems to have proceeded properly but I do not understand yet how to use it...
I'm very new to joomla and usually just do hard programming in php or reg html - In short a friend wanted this module to be placed into his site and I was happy to help.
The method I would like to take is to just use my donate menu button to link directly to this module...
It asks for a url however I am unsure where to pull this from... in most cases I would normally just code the url into the backend of the page in the code and it'd work. With this I am not sure to take the full path of where I believe the module is installed and paste that into the url text area or if there is a better solution.
Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated - I am full on Joomla Noob

Hi
You can simply create a menu item to link to donation view of Joom Donation component. If you are too new to Joomla and don't know how to create a menu item, please submit a support ticket sending me administrator account of your site so that I can create it for you.

Hi there,
Thank you very much for the reply. I do have the menu item created, I am having trouble targeting the path to the Joom Donation page to place into the url text area. Can you provide me with some further details of where in the structure I should look to paste in the url for that menu item?

Update : We worked together via Skype chat and I helped the customer to create the menu item (the customer has very litle experience with Joomla and that's the reason he didn't know how to do it, he works mainly with Wordpress and Magento).
