Documentation--lacking and lying?

Actually, it looks like there are still some issues with this. I have it so some campaigns show pre-defined amounts and some have just the amount entry field. This works if you link directly to each campaign. But if a user selects a different campaign from the drop-down box, campaigns that should have had no pre-defined amount are showing a $0.00 radio button.Corey Kopp wrote:
Yes! That seems to do it.Unfortunately, it is not possible. If you don't enter pre-defined amount , the pre-defined amount will be used. Maybe you can try to empty the pre-defined amount in Configuration of Joom Donation, and then enter pre-defined amounts for each campaign ?
And there are more associated problems using the JDONATION module, which is sometimes showing fields from one campaign and sometimes from another, and sometimes no custom fields at all. It seems to have to do with the settings of whichever campaign was chosen last. Also, if a user enters an amount in the JDONATION module's field for a campaign with no pre-defined amounts and clicks its "Donate" button, they then have to choose a campaign from the drop-down box. If they choose a campaign that has no pre-defined amounts, the previoiusly mentioned "$0.00" radio button is automatically selected, and the form tries to use $0.00 for the donation amount.

Tuan? Anything? You said this almost a week ago. This whole process is taking much, much longer than I had hoped. I felt bad for how impatiently I had started this thread, but I am starting to get impatient again. I am sure you are very busy, but you need to expect this kind of thing and be more responsive if you don't have any documentation and you have quite a few bugs.Administrator wrote: Hi Corey

First of all, I am sorry for lately response. I am having some problem with my eyes and have to go to hospital quite often these days and yes, I am slow with support these days.
Regarding the issues you mentioned, could you please submit a support ticket so that we can check and solve it one by one. It is very difficult for me to track all the issues you mentioned via a long forum thread. Maybe it will be good if we can check it via support ticket and also contact directly via Skype, YM, MSN or Gtalk ? Please let me know !

I have submitted a support ticket that lists most of my outstanding issues/questions/concerns. For the benefit of other forum visitors that may have the same issues, here is a partial copy of my support ticket content:
Hi - you asked me to submit a support ticket with the various issues we have been discussing in the forums. Here are some of the issues that still need to be addressed. I have listed them in approximate priority order. For some, you requested my site admin login and ftp login. You can use the following information.
...
Issues:
1. Need to show or hide the start date, end date, goal, etc. for each campaign? I like the listing of campaigns you get from a Joom Donation>>Campaigns menu item, but not all campaigns have a start date, end date, and goal, and I can't find any settings to turn those off. I wish those fields could simply be left blank in the campaign configuration, and any blank fields would automatically be hidden.
2. I need the donation details in the confirmation email reply to include the date of payment. Can this be added? It would be nice to also have a [DATE] parameter to allow adding the date anywhere in a custom email.
3. I need to be able to show only pre-defined amounts (with no custom amount entry box) for some campaigns, but I need to show only the entry box for others. You suggested "Maybe you can try to empty the pre-defined amount in Configuration of Joom Donation, and then enter pre-defined amounts for each campaign?" That almost worked, but it has some problems: I have it so some campaigns show pre-defined amounts and some have just the amount entry field. This works if you link directly to each campaign. But if a user selects a different campaign from the drop-down box, campaigns that should have had no pre-defined amount are showing a $0.00 radio button.
3b. associated problems using the JDONATION module, which is sometimes showing fields from one campaign and sometimes from another, and sometimes no custom fields at all.
4. If a user checks the box to pay the payment processing fee, it correctly increases their donation amount by the specified percentage. However, this new amount is not what is used in the emails that are generated or what is logged in the database.
5. Paypal subscription (recurring payment) doesn't work; the transaction does not make it into Joom Donation. You can see the IPN message in the picture in the forum poast ( www.joomdonation.com/10-joom-donation/21...es/Page-2.html#22258 ). I DO sometimes get the administrator email when a recurring payment is processed, but the payment never makes it into the Joom Donation donors list or anywhere else. Also, I don't believe user confirmation emails are being generated.
6. I really wish there was some indication on the donation form that a PayPal account is required for recurring donations...it is not ideal to have the user get clear to PayPal to discover this.
7. There should be a way to add mouse-over help tips for every field in a form.
8. A custom "Message" field appears to have an arbitrary limit to the length of the message that is shorter than the message I wanted to enter.
9. In fields for the various messages and things (both in the main configuration messages and the individual campaigns' setup), sometimes my text seems to display as written, including line spaces, and sometimes I have to enter <br /> in order to get a line break. I can't seem to figure out which is which or why.
10. The email address entered into the donation form isn't passed along to Paypal and pre-filled like the name and address are.
11. An "anonymous" donor did not work...no "anonymous" donors appeared in the donor list.
12. The drop-down box to filter the list of custom fields by campaign doesn't work. I can choose a campaign from that box, but nothing happens.
I hope you can address many of these quickly, as I need to get a solution up and running very soon. Thank you!

The top 5 are my highest priority issues, so don't worry if you can't get to the entire list at once.

But really, I will be OK even if you can't get to all of my issues yet. (I know I had quite a list.) Just hoping to see some progress. Thanks!
