Can You Manually Update Thermometer?

My client wants the Donation Thermometer on the page, but it only shows what comes in through the website. Is there a way to manually update it so that church visitors can see the progress through checks mailed to the church as well?

Unfortunately, it cannot be updated manually. The total donated amount is calculated automatically from all donation records.

So in this case, the only solution is that you can go to back-end of your site, create donation records manually (please remember to mark the record as paid). After that, the thermometer will be updated.

Actually, that was exactly what I was looking for! That method does allow manually updating of that thermometer as we have a campaign called "Building Fund" attached to that thermometer. We created a new user, put in the amount of the check they mailed in and selected them as paid - presto! Thermometer updated!

In future editions of Joom Donation, it would be great if you could enter an amount for the donation thermometer to update it, but the method you gave may be best, as it would keep track inside Joom Donation of all the users - online and manually who gave to that campaign.

Maybe another solution is allows you to setup offset amount for the thermometer. Then this will be added to "real donation amount" to show the donated amount in the thermometer (by doing that, you won't have to create donation record manually from backend).
