How does one add the donation form to an article?

I apologize for being so dense but in the forum I saw where one could add the configured from via {jdform campaign_id} or {jdform 1} (1 is my campaign ID) to an article and it would display. It just displays the {jdform 1} as text in the article.

This is a novice joomla article person here....so I am sure that I am not putting in the article correctly.

You have to enable the plugin. Go to extensions/plugins and enable it. viola, it works

The plugin was enabled when I tried having it display in an article...
