Year-end tax receipts was created by Amy Blankson
Is it possible to add a button to the Donation History tab in CB where folks could print out their year-end tax receipt, with the total amount donated? Or if there's another easier way to print out year-end tax receipts with an aggregate donation amount, please let me know!

Hi
Could you explain more about Year-end tax receipts ? How will it be generated ? What information does we need to collect ? Could you give us a sample format of the Year-end tax receipts ?
Thanks ,
Ossolution Team

Thank you so much for responding and considering my request. In the U.S., nonprofits are required to give each donor a summary of their donations at the end of the calendar year. The letter is really simple and just includes the donor's name, their total donation amount, and the nonprofit's federal tax id number. For your purposes, it would be a really helpful feature if users could click a button to download a pre-populated letter from their community builder donation history tab. **Alternatively, you could simply add a "total donations" field at the bottom of the tab, along with a simple message that says something about the tax id number. Then, the user could print that entire screen.
This feature is something that will really separate you from the joomla donor extensions competition, as only the most sophisticated sites do this!

I too am in dire need of this functionality. I have searched the web to no avail for a Joomla Component that has this feature. This one feature would put you over the top for sure. Different churches do it different ways. The basic idea is that at a minimum, a givng statement is issued at the end of the Calendar Year to all contributors, sometimes they are sent out quarterly as well.
At a minimum the statement contains the words "Statement of Giving" or "2009 Gifts" and also "Record of Contributions as of Dec. 31, 2009" in the header (or the date range of the Statement); The name and address of the Non-Profit; Name and Address of Contributor; It then has an itemized list of contributions by date, amount given and to which fund, check # ?(if applicable), total contribution for that date, and then a grand total for the given statement period.
Finally, at least in my case, at the bottom of the page is a "Thank you" statement and a statement to the effect of "No goods or services were received" or "Unless otherwise noted, the only goods or services provided are intangible religious benefits" (this is the one I prefer).
This is a letter in 8.5" x 11" Memo style printed and snail mailed to each contributor per IRS regulations. Is there a way to integrate an option to not only generate a downloadable copy for the contributor, but also for the admin to export/print as a PDF or Word document?
Thanks,
Derek

Yes, I need this functionality too.
I don't use Joom Social or CB - but I also need to be able to look as donation management and see how much each donor gave over the year. I am guessing I can only do this by using CB or Joom Social?
Which do you recommend?
I want our staff to be able to at least down load each donor's history - not just a list of all donations.
I would like to see a report for each donor.

This would be wonderful!
Would be willing to pay for an addon if that's what it took.
This would be such a great setup to help us! This year, we had to work through a fairly complex system of adjusting the CSV to make everything work. Woud be a great help!

Any movement on this? This would help us out incredibly!
What we are looking for is a way to export each individual's donation history for a specified date range. So, if we had an easy way to export a list (or even a display of total) donations for a year for a given donor.
In the USA, we are allowed to deduct certain donations to charities on our taxes. It is a good service for a charity that accept donations to provide a yearly statement of giving. This is what we would love to have.
I've attached an example of what I created for last year's receipts using a complex system of manipulating the CSV export from joomdonation and plugging that data into a mail merge. This year, my process will not work as there is no way to specify which data to export in Joomdonation. the CSV export only does an entire history (we've been using this for more than a year)...not a specified date range.

Thinking about freelancing this out to a developer on Elance. Any option for you to do it? I'd be glad to pay you Tuam...as opposed to someone that doesn't know the system at all!
Doesn't have to be a pretty system, just needs to work.
Thanks!
Jon
