Donation Form Email Fiield Shows code in front end

Running Joomla 1.7, the donation form shows but the users form field for Email shows the following code inside the form field box

I have tried uninstalling - re-installing, clearing cache, updating configuration files but can't get rid of it. Please review the attached screen show and look at the Email field.
