Button 'Donate' again. was created by Christian_Belgien
After having successfully removed the Donate button from (a copy of) mod_jd_champaigns,
joomdonation.com/index.php?option=com_ku...ew&catid=10&id=10015
, I now need, for the teasers on the front page, just a donate button.
To this end I created a new module mod_jd_donatebutton by copying mod_jd_campaigns and substitute donatebutton for campaigns overall in names, in the filenames in the xml file, and in the layoutpath last line in the pdf file, and in the default file I removed the lines that generate title, start and end dates, goal, and donated amount. I managed to install the module and, using loadposition, place the module in the teaser-article, and, lo and behold, I get the donate button and nothing else!
However, my euphorism vanished when I clicked on the donate button and did not get the donate form! In fact, nothing visible changed after click on the donate button.
So I replaced the default file in mod_jd_donatebutton with the original default file (still with the donate button) from mod_jd_campaigns. As expected I now get, in the teaser articles, the full mod_jd_campaigns module with donate button. But again, by click on the donate button I do not get the donate form. Thus, the code when placed in mod_jd_campaigns gives a clickable donate button, but when placed in mod_jd_donatebutton gives a button that does not react to click.
I have done it over several times to try to ensure, that it is not due to a copy error or the like. I have probably missed a setting (or several settings). I would be grateful, if you could enlighten me.

Do I ask too many questions (or is the question too far reaching or am I breaking the rules?)

I resolved the issue in a different manner. mod_jd_campaigns shows information abouot start and end date, amount donated, etc. plus a donate button. I need two versions of mod_jd_campaigns, one that give everything except the button and one that gives just the button. In
joomdonation.com/index.php?option=com_ku...ew&catid=10&id=10015
I got help to remove the button from mod_jd_campaigns. So in order to get just the button I tried to make a new module mod_jd_campaigns1 by copying mod_jd_campaigns and change all the names, and then remove everything except the button. It worked in so far that I got the button displayed, but with click on the button I did not get the donation form. The help I asked for in this thread did not come. So I switched it: In mod_jd_campaigns I removed everything except the button (which was then still clickable) and in mod_jd_campaigns1 I removed the button and left everything else. So now it works. I get startdate, enddate, amounts, etc. without the button where I need it, and I get the clickable button and nothing else where I need that.
